The PARROT 212B Subscriber Unit is a plug-and-play device provided for use in ODMAEnabled™ wireless networks. Powered by the multi-hopping and multi-routing Opportunity Driven Multiple Access™ (ODMA™) relay technology, the PARROT 212B enables service providers and telecom operators to offer their subscribers both fixed and mobile wireless broadband.
Without any on-site installation required, subscribers can enjoy surfing the Internet at megabits per second (where such rates are available from the back-haul provider). Insertion and subsequent certification of a smart card into the PARROT 212B unit enables connectivity through the device via an available LAN port. Users benefit from the ODMA technology’s use of the unlicensed wireless spectrum, while no longer experiencing common interference problems.
